Providing practical skills training to vulnerable youths
Lubanga Twero is a not-for-profit organization based in Uganda. We exist to empower vulnerable youth and rural communities with hands-on skills that create jobs, reduce poverty, and transform agriculture
About us
Empowering youths, transforming lives
Skills Training for Youth
We provide free and subsidized training to vulnerable youth, including school dropouts and unemployed young people. Our practical programs include:
- Tractor operation and tractor mechanics
- Motor vehicle mechanics
- Welding and metal fabrication
- Professional driving lessons
- Entrepreneurship and business skills
Our trainees learn by doing. We mentor them to start their own garages or find decent employment.
Tractor & Motor Garage Services
We run a social enterprise garage that repairs and maintains tractors, cars, trucks, and motorcycles. We also fabricate trailers and farm implements.
All income from our garage services goes directly back into training more youth and supporting our community programs.
Supporting Farmers
We help smallholder farmers access affordable mechanization. Through our garage and digital platforms like Hello Tractor, we link farmers to tractor services for ploughing, planting, and transport.
Community Empowerment
Beyond skills, we run outreach programs that promote self-reliance, food security, and youth employment. We partner with local leaders, government, and NGOs to expand opportunities for rural communities.
